Privacy

Privacy Policy.

How Carely collects, uses, protects and retains personal information.

1. Who we are

Carely is a Canadian technology marketplace connecting families with independent care providers. Carely Inc. is pending incorporation. The Privacy Officer may be reached at privacy@getcarely.ca.

2. Information we collect

We collect account and contact details, profile information, care requests, availability, messages, booking records, reviews, approximate and service addresses, support communications and technical information required to operate and secure the platform.

Provider onboarding may include sensitive identity and credential documents such as government identification, police checks, CPR, First Aid and professional certificates.

3. Why we use information

We use personal information to create accounts, verify providers, match families and providers, administer care requests, enable protected communication, provide support, prevent fraud and misuse, meet legal obligations and improve platform reliability.

4. Consent and limits

Carely collects only information reasonably required for identified purposes. We do not sell personal information. Information is not used for an unrelated purpose without consent unless permitted or required by law.

5. Client waitlist

When someone joins the client waitlist, Carely collects their name, contact details, general location, requested care type, timing and any optional care notes. Authorized Carely team members use this information to understand demand and follow up about appropriate services. Joining the waitlist does not create a booking or payment obligation. A person may request correction or deletion by contacting the Privacy Officer.

6. Sharing

Information may be shared with the family or provider involved in a request, Carely administrators, and service providers supporting authentication, database hosting, file storage, email, analytics or security. Exact addresses and personal contact details are protected until the applicable booking stage. Service providers may process information outside Ontario or Canada, where it may be subject to local law.

7. Provider documents

Verification documents are private and available only to authorized reviewers and necessary service providers. Documents are retained while required for verification and platform safety. Following a rejected application or account closure, provider verification documents are scheduled for deletion within 90 days unless longer retention is required by law or reasonably necessary for an active dispute or investigation.

8. Safeguards and incidents

Carely uses access controls, private storage, role-based permissions, encryption in transit and other safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information. No system is completely secure. Material privacy incidents will be handled and reported as required by applicable law.

9. Access and correction

Users may update certain account details through Carely and may request access to or correction of personal information by contacting the Privacy Officer. Carely may need to verify identity and may limit access where permitted by law.

10. Communications

Carely sends transactional messages needed for accounts, verification, bookings, safety and support. Marketing messages, if introduced, will use applicable consent and unsubscribe requirements.

11. Children

Care may be booked for children, but Carely accounts may only be created by people aged 18 or older. The adult account holder is responsible for having authority to provide information about a care recipient.

12. Changes and complaints

Carely may update this policy as the platform changes. Material changes will be communicated appropriately. Privacy questions or complaints should first be directed to the Privacy Officer.
